Official overview Division L -- SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH, PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL SERVICES This division comprises the establishments primarily engaged in conducting scientific research etc., the establishments engaged in providing professional knowl edge and technology to the individuals and offices that are not classified under any other categories, and the establishments engaged in providing comprehensive service relate to the advertisement. This division includes establishments engaged in the following types of services. (1) Establishments engaged in scientific research, tests, and developmental research. (2) Establishments engaged in expertise services, such as legal, financial and accounting services, including clerical work, consultation and other services, design services, creation of literary works and works of art, and business strategy. (3) Establishments engaged in providing comprehensive services related to advertising for customers. (4) Establishments engaged in specialized technical servi ces such as veterinary service, engineering and architectural designing and consultant services, merchandise inspection, weight and measurement certificate and photographing business. Relationship between "SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH, PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL SERVICES" and other industries (1) Relationship with "Mining" Establishments engaged in mine prospecting work, in the exploration of minerals, such as geological surveys, geophysical prospecting, geo- chemical prospecting and test drilling are classified in the Division C -- MINING AND QUARRYING OF STONE AND GRA VEL [05]. (2) Relationship with "INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS" Establishments which perform the business such as the preparation of the advertisement draft, the commercial art, but do not advertise on the advertising media are classified in the Division G -- INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS [4151]. (3) Relationship with "Transport services" Establishments engaged in tallying, appraising, or calibrating incidental to transport when loading or unloading ships' cargos are classified in the Division H -- TRANSPORT AND POSTAL SERVICES [4899]. (4) Relationship with "Living-related and personal services" Establishments engaged in the digital camera picture data printing, the film developing, printing, and enlargement, without photographing, and those engaged as their agents, and those engaged in the film transfer are classified in the Division N -- LIVING-RELA TED AND PERSONAL SERVICES AND AMUSEMENT SERVICES [7993].
